The major objectives of the present project are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– To design and to synthesize new CPPs, namely buforinII\/IIb chemically modified derivatives, that can be used as a \u201eversatile and generalized vehicle\u201c for commercially chemical drugs delivery. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
– To determine the antimicrobial activity of these CPPs in gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– To study the CPP\u2019s cellular uptake in cancer cell line models and pharmacological effects in relevant biological systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– To non-covalently conjugate different chemical drugs to the CPP-vector to obtain CPP-drug conjugates and to study their cellular uptake, stability, toxicity, and pharmacological effects in relevant biological systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
